Joe's Crab Shack

Fun place to get away for a quick lunch or dinner. Their seafood is good but not exceptional. Their bar menu is pretty robust and I'm sure appeals to many looking for a beach inspired cocktail. I would go again with friends or a date for the fun atmosphere and quick access to a crab platter.

Great value for money. It is quite a fun experience to come with a group. Thank you for the amazing dinner. We also received great service. The only thing would be making a reservation as very difficult. I called up the night before and I was told they were fully booked so I had to walk in. We had a group of 15 so I didn’t want to do and risk not getting a table. I was then placed on hold for half an hour and still no one came back to the phone. In the morning, I called up again and Miranda kindly helped me out and made a reservation. When I got there at night, the restaurant was pretty empty, maybe only 3 -4 tables apart from mine. I felt like I was lied too....

We love this place! Definitely a must stop when we are in Salt Lake. Patricia is great!

My kids love this place and I have rarely had as consistent a friendly welcoming atmosphere at any other restaurant. Birthdays with songs, line dances, and drinks with sharks! Margaritas, wine, hush puppies! I always enjoy myself more than I expect I will. Thanks Joe's Team!

Joe's Crab shack has a constantly evolving menu. Some appreciate it, some don't. I fall on the don't category, but I can never complain about the food I finally choose. This location is well taken care of and well managed. My waiter had excellent timing even though it was a little slow that night. Clam chowder was excellent and the platter I ordered came as promised. I would definitely recommend this location.

Seafood galore! Nice place to go and have your fill of seafood - crabs, shrimps, etc. We had a grand time having dinner here. The service was pleasant and our server took good care of us. We waited a bit longer than we expected for our food to arrive. But when it came, it was worth the wait. I found their food to be a bit pricey for the amount of food we got. Maybe the price of crabs is expensive at this time of year. Anyway, it was a good dinner!

They are incredible. The staff was so Amazing. I got a spicy BBQ dish and asked for a different menu item...not only did they accommodate me and get me a whole new dish of crab but they also gave us a discount on our Bill. Highly recommend eating at Joe's. We frequent this location and will definitely be back again and again.

Did you know there is a Joe's Crab Shack in Sandy, UT? I didn't either until yesterday! I love me some JCS! The hubby and I went there yesterday for supper and it was so so so good. Take the time to educate yourself about their location because it is not in a high traffic area. Go get some grub and enjoy yourself!!

It was amazing! First time going and I have to say that the food was great, the atmosphere was great, and the service was great. Can't wait until I can come back again!

The food here was really good. I felt like we got a decent portion for the money. What made this restaurant really stand out was our waitress, she was showing me how to use some of the tools because I had never eaten crab legs before. As she was doing this she became very disappointed with the food that had come out,shepromtly took it back to the kitchen and brought me out a new plate of crab legs. Not only that,she took the time to explain to the people in the kitchen how to tell when legs should not be used. She went above and beyond to her commitment to not only me as a customer but also to the restaurant to help improve other people's ability.

The waiters/waitresses are always nice and deserve at least a hundred dollar tip. The menu changes in the best ways. And the food is amazing, and it arrives fast at least 80 percent of the time

I took my granddaughters yesterday because I have such fond memories of this place from years ago. Love the atmosphere. The server was good. The snow crab was substandard and small and the shrimp were overcooked. The prices were fair but I won't be going back.

I had high expectations of this place. Very expensive for the small amount of food they serve. Got the joes classic for two, the crab was very salty. Only got 4 pieces of shrimp and 2 pieces of potatoes ... we paid $65. So so disappointed. Gave it 2 stars because we had a Very friendly and prompt server! Also it’s nice they have a play area for the kids

Yummy place. Enjoyed having my husband's birthday meal here with our family. The staff, after I tipped them off, all got together to sing a unique happy birthday celebration song to him.. FUNNY... making him say aloud that he's a PRETTY PRETTY PRINCESS, HA! Our meals all were fresh and delicious.

Quality products, great service, and reasonable prices considering I'm ordering fresh seafood in the middle of a desert! Never have had any item that wasn't tasty, just personal preferences.

Good food. Braden was a great waiter for the night. Food is a little pricey, really quite worth it. Really happy about the play area for children. Nice to have them leave while you enjoy the meal. I understand that may sound rude. Just nice to not have a 4 year old talking while we eat. Didnt get the managers name.

The food was so amazing. The burger was cooked perfectly, the crab was good, as well as the crab cakes. It's a comfortable place with unique decorations. Our waitress Jolene was very kind to us and provided great service. My one complaint is that it was a bit chilly, but that's nothing that can't be fixed. Great restaurant all around.

I was disappointed because this place had been talked up a lot. The restaurant wasn’t busy and the waitress was friendly, but a little aloof. They won’t cook a steak rare and the shrimp was over cooked and chewy. The steak wasn’t trimmed well, so there was a lot of impossibly tough pieces that couldn’t be chewed. Very overpriced for the quality of food.

Wish I could remember the lady that served me, she did excellent service and made the experience very nice! Loved the food as well.

Good food! Very loud and overwhelming but, if you're okay with that, it's a good choice. There's no real vegetarian options (which you can expect given that it's a seafood restaurant) but they have a good selection of a number of kinds of foods as long as you like chicken or fish.

On Sunday.... it was not too crowded. We got our food fast! The play structure is awesome! So nice to have a place for kids to go we adults can relax and eat in peace!! Thank you!!

Love this place, great food always and drinks. Now is owned by Landrys so they have a club program that's new for 25$ off after reaching a certain amount of points and 25$ on your birthday plus get priority seating so you dont have to wait as long if there is a wait. Love the Crab always!

Just walked out after sitting for over 32 mins with no water or interaction with staff after being seated. I watched 2 tables get seated water/drinks, one table even ordered food. As walking out the staff member who sat us said "have a good night". Not even why are you leaving. Will never be returning the location.

Surprisingly good. I get the bucket which has a ton of food. It's really good if you like the taste of old bay.

My wife and I love Joe's Crab Shack! And we love this location. The service is always great, and the food is always on point. We were here two days ago, and were served by Darla. She made of our experience a very pleasant one, especially with her attentiveness. She made us feel like she was more than happy to serve us, which was great. We have been to restaurants in which we have been treated like a burden, and it isn't a good feeling. The quality of the food matters, but the experience is just as, if not more important. At Joe's Crab Shack, we received both.

Best fried calamari I've had in a long time!! The mozzarella sticks and garlic bread were delicious as well. I got the Shark Bite cocktail, which was tasty and fun because you got to put "shark blood" (grenadine) into the drink. Seems like they have gotten better over the years, might have to come back soon!

Fun place. The waitresses are fun. The fried food is good. The best things in life are fried. But the best food is the steamed crab. You can't do better.

I don't eat seafood but I still love Joe's! They have super yummy drinks, and the food is good too. They have a few non seafood items wick is great for me. This location was really awesome because it had a play place for the kids! The decor was cute and we all had a great time! There is also lots of parking.

Average seafood. Mahi tacos were good, if a little light on filling. Sampler platter had good variety and flavor. Service was very good. Never crowded for lunch.

Love love love always . The waitress this last time wasn't as pleasant but still let a decent tip. And hopefully it was just a bad night and it will pass other then that we always have a blast. Good time and great delicious food.

Food is very good! Fairly expensive. But the taste is amazing. Service is very good. They took good care of us.

Absolutely one of our favorite places to eat in the valley. We love that there is a kids play area so we can sit down and enjoy our yummy food. We were seated quickly and the waitress SAMMY & DONALD were very attentive and made sure everything was good. We love this place. Thank you for having a toddler friendly place and delicious sea food. That is a challenging combination to find here in Utah.

We were very surprised the first time, the ambient is amazing full of things hanging and in the walls even a shark! They have a play area, is a great place for families with kids. Food ok

Southern-inspired seafood platters and steampots. Quality is fine for an inland restaurant far from the ocean. What makes this place shine is the friendly atmosphere, cheery staff, and laid-back ambience. Everything is conveniently laid out for shell cracking, just let yourself loose and enjoy the beachside experience.

We had a great time here. I love that I can sit down and be comfortable, and my kid can get to the playground if he wants to. We had a fried calamari app, my kids devoured it. I had a combination shrimp plate that was all delicious. Our server Jamie was super fun, and he gave many helpful hints while I was trying to decide what to have😄

Really disappointed. My order was incorrect and also rotten. I tried calling to see what they could do to fix things however nothing, not even quake or trying. Spending $64 on a meal should have better service and quality of food that is paid for. I’ve gotten better service at lower quality restraints than here. Very disappointing and upsetting.
